Heather has been an academic and athletic star in high school, and now she is headed for Georgetown University in the fall. Congratulations to Heather and her family!

P.S. Despite her family's fears about her leaving the deaf culture behind after her cochlear implant, she has not. Among all her other accomplishments, she serves as a sign language instructor at the Mill Neck School for the Deaf.

Shocking! Who knew once-deaf-now-hearing people could still continue to sign. :P

I've seen the first movie and knew she had a CI afterwards...I am impressed with her progress...that is so awesome. :) Good for her. :) Thank you for the update. :)
