With hindsight, Rude Dog was the least cool.

With hindsight, is it not fair to say that Rude Dog was the least cool of the gang? Whilst the Dweebs had individuality and a degree of honesty/vulnerability on their side, Rude Dog flounced around the place spewing cheesy soundbites and looking a bit naff, all told. He seems to be about as cool as Kid and Play or MC Hammer nowadays.

I still think he was kinda cool, he obviously wasn't as cool as he thought he was (he did hang out with pretty much nothing but dweebs obviously)

But you can't tell from this.. http://www.youtube.com/user/SunbeltRyders/videos

But he drove a Cadillac....

reply

I can't say he was truly cool, but the dweebs were absolute morons and not cool at all.

How the hell do you remember this?

reply

I've always remembered this cartoon. I'm watching it on Youtube right now!

reply

That was pretty good...I guess I watched every episode as a kid.. hadn't thought of it since what? 1990?

reply

Here in The Netherlands they kept airing it way after 1989.

reply

That's what's up...I was like 9-10 watching the show when it was originally on... Turn 41 next month...that was a helluva nostalgia trip just now...

Did you ever watch the old dungeons and dragons cartoon? Did y'all get that over there?

reply

38 here. Yep, they showed that one for years as well. I think it may still have been on around 2000.

reply

I just mention D&D because I was watching that on YT a couple weeks ago. Over here the show was epic...can't believe it's never been rebooted.

reply

Not sure I would want a reboot of such a classic show. I'm definitely planning on doing a rewatch of that soon.

reply

The whole series is on YT...there is also an unofficial finale episode that goes by the official proprosed script...I'm not sure if you're aware of it...but it sets up and idea for possible future seasons...thats why I want a reboot...seems like there were/are still a lot of stories to tell...

Anyways I definitely recommend checking out the series again. I feel it 100% holds up.

Yeah, I saw a bit of that episode last year. I believe it featured the original voice actress for Sheila. And Presto stayed behind or something. It's a bummer the show never got a conclusive ending.
