The photographs seen in the movie are from the series "HOMELESS: Portraits of Americans in Hard Times". They were taken by Howard Schatz.

I am a photographer myself and there were some good prints in the film. Although I didn't like how the photographers never went outside of shooting people. All they thought of in terms of subject matter for their photos were people... I find other subjects FAR more interesting, but I guess they wanted to hit a larger audience as most people don't see the beauty in the little things, only the things right in front of them like people. Although the composition on most the shots was excellent.
