Was this show ever on U.S. tv?

I'm an American fan that found this show on the internet, but was it ever on tv? I think it would be a good addition to the AdultSwim line up, its thousands better than most of the crap they show now...

Isn't it Obvious?

reply

It was never on in the U.S. but I'd love to see it on [adult swim], they wouldn't need to redub it and just bleep out some of the language.

reply

Actually, they showed it (and still do) on the Anime Network. I believe they even air(ed) episode 26. And in case you aren't a fan of the dub (like me, I despise it), they don't show the subbed version.

reply

I find dub versions are better because I don't care about authenticity or whatever reason you people like subs and I don't have to read the bottom of the screen to know what's going on. And I don't get the Anime Network...

reply

Actually, the reason I like the subbed version is because Excel's English voice irritates me.

reply

She's supposed to be irritating!

I am Atheist! Who said we were perfect spellers?

reply

That's only one of the reasons I don't like the dub.

1. The Animation USA episode doesn't work very well if they're already speaking English (and I have seen both versions).
2. Why would they be speaking English in Japan?
3. Excel's Japanese voice irritates me too, but not in a "I want to kill myself" kind of way.
4. Koshi Rikdo sounds like a tranny in the English version, IMO.

And normally I like English dubs the same or more than the original, so don't give me *beep* about liking the subbed version more.

reply

3. why are anime based in new york, russia, or england. have everyone speaking japanese?

IMDB...its not fanboard

reply

Yes, this is true. When I had Comcast with the Anime Network on demand I had full access to watch every episode whenever I wanted...with the exception of the 26th episode.
