This is the funniest thing ever made...

Hmm... You may want to avoid the end, though... Very disturbing (think South Park only much much worse, and with better animation...)

I love this series! I love the randomness. My favorite character is Hyatt. Who's your's? I've only seen up to the 5th DVD. What's wrong with the ending? It's ok if you spoil it for me, so don't worry.

Well, the lst episode is actually the best IMO. They just went completely overboard (everything AND the kitchen sink style).

The end, do you mean the 25th or 26th episode? Because the 26th episode sure has some disturbing scenes indeed. :)

My fave quote is in the first episode when Excel is singing and she goes "Illapalazzo is a MAN!" and then he shoots her...

I love the episode where Excel is stuck int he pit guarded by the marines and has a day dream that Ilpalazzo is with Hyatt and finishes her schpeal with I...Love....You...so...f***ing...much.....My how I rolled ont he floor 8o)

i like a part later on in the series where wantanabe is makeing fun of a superhero crimefighting group and breaks down a door with "Some kinda awesome attack!"

excel saga is funny, but i watched a 2 part mini series called puni puni poemy in the anime club i was in during college. that was much more disturbing and hilarious that excel saga and it's made by the same people (nabeshin is even there). i extremely reccomend this movie. puni puni poemy is mostly a parody of sexuality and hentai with clever camera angles and splashes of water nothing is actually seen.

You aren't wrong about Puni Puni Poemy being even more insane than Excel Saga, it is so strange that it is illegal to own it in New Zealand

Avoid the end??? That was the best part! Excel's betrayal by Illpalazzo, then her discovery of his mudshadow and her beating it up! That was great! And then Illpalazzo jumps into the trapdoor pit with her, that was so sweet!

well i've just seen the first dvd, and if i wasn't already sure i wanted to see the series through to the end, you've convinced me ;)

My favorite Ilpalazzo scene so far (only watched up to disc 5, episode 20 or 21, can't remember...BUT WHO CARES!) is when the rocker/HQ messenger Key arrives and begins to "successfully" hit on Excel. Just to hear the thoughs running through the great Ilpalazzo's mind at that moment are absolutely hillarious. "Damn you. Just because you're a visually appealling little bastard doesn't make you cool. You're stupid! Stupid! Stupid! I'll kill you, you poser! I'll definately make you die!" Classic.

OH MY GOD That is my favorite Il Palazzo quote in the whole series! =3

BTW, you have a 5 disc set? The one my boyfriend and I have only has 3 discs (10 eps on the first disc, then 8 on the next 2) o.O

I totally wouldn't care if ACROSS took over the world, we need a drastic change, anyway :D Though I think I'd want to live in Japan at the time of takeover, I can't imagine what the leaders of the foreign branches of ACROSS are like (definitely not as cool or funny as Palazzo lol)

Something I didn't notice, though, until my second time through with the ADVid Notes on (because I still haven't watched the series the whole way through in Japanese): in the epsiode where Excel and Hyatt go to America, at the first of the episode when Il Palazzo is "breifing" the girls, he greets them in English and says a few words in English in the next few sentences - his Japanese VA isn't all that bad at English, either =3 The weirdest thing (to me, anyway) is that he kind of sounds like Palazzo's English VA when he speaks English o.O lol
