You're right, the animal in the film was a ferret, not a weasel. (A ferret is just a domesticated polecat, incidentally). That was just one of the factual errors in this film that irritated the Hell out of me - what about the opossum being called a rodent? Or the beaver with a load of fish, when beavers do not catch or eat fish?

I suppose that was its name.
