Concerned about animal abuse/violence

Heard there is a scene in this where a cow is stuck in the swamp and then the boys shoot it. Does this scene look faked (I hope), or like they really got a cow stuck in mud and then offed it? Thanks for your input.

Regardless of how fake/real it looks, it's next to impossible to actually harm an animal in a movie. Period. People are "killed" in thousands of movies, but are never harmed. Ketchup works well to fool people... ha.

Anyway, yeah, it was disturbing, but hey, you can just close your eyes if you want.

considering the fact that the movie is argentinian I'm not sure that the same standards of not harming animals are enforced over there (this is not meant negatively by the way).

I don't know if they offed that cow but what I can tell you is that this simply was the BEST part of an overall boring movie. the whole cow stuck in the mud sums the movie and unfortunately for the country, pretty much summed up Argentina's situation at that time... perhaps the cow didn't survive but Argentina did (that's all that matters, really)

The gunshot is off camera so it's a safe bet that the cow wasn't harmed in real life.
