I'm kind of pissed off, since Call for Help is not in that list, what is going to happen to LEO?!
I really hate the G4 shows they all dumb. The hosts on G4 is pretty much the same as the shows they host. Comca$t are fing tech tv up big time with videogame about all day. Don't get me wrong I still play videogames and love X-Play but those other shows are very bad. I mostly watch three shows now The Screen Savers,Unscrewed and X-play. bay the way fyrewalmeltdown here is what Leo is going to do "I'm very happy to report that I've agreed to host a daily show for G4/TechTV Canada starting later this summer. We'll produce the show here in Toronto. I'll fly up one week a month to shoot. It looks like the format will be very similar to Call for Help, and, yes, we'll be taking calls. G4 shows are crappy because the whole concept of a network about only or mostly videogames is a crappy idea. Techtv got it right. One excellent show dedicated to only videogames; maybe a segment every once in a while on TSS or another show. But c'mon, a network about just freakin' video games?? I can't imagine that even the most hardcore of gamers would think that would work.

Leo Laporte is NOT going to be on The Screen Savers due to the move(from San Francisco to Los Angeles) Same goes to "Call for Help". Leo not there so why keep it when there's no host?

I agree. Leo is a natural at hosting anything I've seen him do at TechTV. I think The ScreenSavers went downhill considerably after he quit hosting it. I'll have to see if I can pick up any web broadcasts or local stations that have his radio show. :) Thanks for the info.
shareOn her web site today, Sarah Lane announced that she and Kevin Rose had signed new contracts with G4TechTV to continue with TSS after the move to LA. (Replies to the announcement made it sound as if Patrick Norton won't be part of the cast after the move.)
They also announced today that Leo will be hosting a "Call for Help"-style show (which Leo is currently referring to as "Call for Help 2.0") for G4TechTV Canada.
Just got Tech TV and this is my new favorite show. Alex Albrecht is so funny. Love the dark tips. Wish Call for help would go away and get replaced with more smart, funny programming such as Screen Savers.

I dont know.. I still love Kevin Rose and Sarah Lane a lot.. but the show just doesnt really feel like anything I wanna watch.. it doesnt offer any of the great things that I used to watch the screen savers for (ie really great and informative uses of computer programs applications and gaming, yes its still done, but it tries too much to be like stupid flashy hollywood instead of tech smart).. and I prefer Kevin Rose as the main host instead of the other Kevin he reminds of a spastic hamster on crack.
shareI still like TSS, but has an emptiness to it now. Without Yoshi the show just doesn’t seem as creative. It’s more about dumb websites about “manties” and less about cool mods. Like the fireplace-clapper mod Yoshi did. I’m less and less impressed by the show every time I see it.

actually i think TSS will end to make room for this new show "Attack of the Show". I keep seeing commericials for it and its airing in the TSS time slot. The show has all the same people I think.

Lets face it .. the new "Attack of The Show" panders to the lowest common denominator...
I loved when they would do some stuff like this on TSS.. but it was balanced out with informative things on new programs, sites, and innovations to technology and the internet.
There was a time where I would only watch Techtv cause they always had all the kewlest stuff on there... now that its officially G4, I catch x-play and then I think about how much the rest of the shows on this channel sucks.
All the shows I used to watch are gone or ruined.
Unscrewed= cancelled
Nerd Nation= cancelled
X-Play= Good but a shadow of what it used to be.
TSS= Ruined
Portal= Canceled One of the 2 G4 shows I actually liked
Filter= Turned into some movie, tech, gear, and a countdown all in one.

They probably got rid of all the great programing for shows like "Attack of the Show"(wtf?) and "The Whip Set"(WTF!)
I mean come on. They cancelled shows like Screen Savers(wasn't doing too well anyways with Leo and Patrick gone) and Unscrewed for The Whip Set? A god damn car tuner show? A show that doesn't completely relate to video games, yet G4TTV claims they're a video game channel.
