I think you're thinking about "The Site" which predated "The Screen Savers."

"The Site" first appeared on the then relatively new MSNBC and was hosted by NBC correspondent Soledad O'Brien. Many of its people, set decor, thematic feel, were eventually relocated to ZDTV and renamed the Screen Savers but I don't remember Soledad making the move. She is currently with CNN.

I think O'Brien was on SS or TTV maybe once? It may have been just a spot type thing. She was kind of big by then I think. I know Leo mentioned her a few times over the course of the show.
