My understanding is that Gandhi "practiced sleeping" next to naked young/teenage girls to help him with his abstinence resolve.

I didn't know about this fact until reading this post. I dug further into the subject and found out that it's all true. There is even a 2000-page diary by the victim, his grandniece, professed about the whole "experiment". Not only that he slept naked with his grandniece (also naked), but also with others in his circle which included his secretary, his personal assistance, his personal physician, and even his male associates. He admitted to it and called it some kind of abstinence practice. He was a lawyer so he had his ways with words to legalize (or at least normalize) his immoral practice. What a travesty of justice and a shame for all Indians who supported him and his philosophy. I've lost all reserved respect for this historical figure.
