A Remarkble Film on A Very Important Subject

A beautifully made film for all film lovers. Not your typical Bollywood movie with singing and dancing (though there are some memorable melodies). The movie addresses a very important topic in Indian (shameful) caste/religious/class-society that is not only a social injustice, illegal practice, but also inhumane and immoral tradition.

In a society where grandmothers, mothers, daughters, sisters are well revered and loved, then why this wicked practice? Indians and Hindu followers who support this ancient culture/tradition phenomenon should be ashamed of themselves.

Ancient tradition masking under culture and religious belief /practice is disgusting and loathsome which has no place in modern and civilized society. Religious teachings that cause pain and suffering (not to mention illegal) are false theology with false doctrine and false leaders... which should be condemned, disengaged, and dismantled.

Governments around the world have known and recognized the tremendous value of all citizens when it comes to economic power, political power, military power, cultural power and beyond. By blindly carrying on with this injustice and inhumane tradition, India has just foolishly discarded more than 40-million (http://www.womenundersiegeproject.org/blog/entry/the-ongoing-tragedy-of-indias-widows) strong of economic powerhouse (and more) in her society. Considering the poverty level of this nation, no forward thinking government and no sane people should support or allow this shameful tradition to go on into the 21st century.
