The Ending

Who else thought the ending was creepy?

To me, it was just unsettling in a subtle manner. It was just creepy how this upbeat song starts playing while Tsukiko is looking in the mirror and sees the mole, realizing Tomie has infected her and made her just like her. Then Tomie swings in her head from the background and smiles. It just seems so freaky how there's this forced conformity upon Tsukiko yet there's this upbeat manner to it all while Tsukiko is horrified. It seems as if the ending was trying to make a statement about society that is quite true and kind of creepy at the same time.
