It is from a Neil Diamond song. If you listen to a live version of Holly Holy, you will here him say it.

shareJack Black explained in an interview once that he had listened to different live versions of the same Neil Diamond song ("Holly Holy," someone else pointed out) and at a certain spot in the song, Neil Diamond lets out a yell. In each version he listened to, it got increasingly more ridiculous. In the original song, he just yells, "Come on!" Then, in later version it was like, "Come on yeah!" and then eventually, it became "Comeonayeahaa!" or whatever it is that they say. They thought this was funny, so used it in the movie. They were, of course, mistaken.

shareHe's saying the bastardized version of that phrase, as they explained. His "comeonayeahah!," or whatever, is an attempt to parody Neil Diamond's later versions of his own "Come on, yeah!" heard on earlier recordings of the song. I am glad to have helped.

I say it anytime I am at an event or funtion where the crowd is expected to yell. i.e. sporting event, concert, etc. Anyways, it is so much fun to say and every once in a while someone asks if I like Saving Silverman. I never knew it was from Neil himself. That makes it even cooler!

MAN i would say it ALL the time after watching this movie lol, .. its interesting to see that the saying did in fact come from a neil diamond song lol, thats awesome id of never known.
I can't believe no one has said this yet, but if you watch the end of the movie during the credits while the entire cast is on stage with Neil Diamond singing Holly Holy, he yells it in the middle of the song.
