This movie is hilarious! Why rated so low?

This is up there with Dumb and Dumber and Kingpin for me. Yes is it stupid but that is the point. Zhan and Black are genius in this- their comedic timing is spot on. I love this movie and watch it every time it comes on- and I am a pretty picky movie goer. Just saying. :)

Eh certainly some of them are, but theres also a lot of other reasons. Comedy is also THE most subjective genre of them all. Other genres you can hit specific notes and its considered a success and a good movie because of it. Comedies however don't abide by this theory, since its not so much about what you do but how comedic its done, which as I said is seriously subjective. Then with imdb theres a lot of bandwagon jumping too, once its popular to hate a certain movie everyone just goes along with it.

This movie is a great example of this happening. Theres way worse comedies coming out currently that dont get the hate this movie does. Its a shame because this movie is actually pretty funny...

I liked it until the end and the gay stuff with black was thrown in for no reason.

The joke wasn't that black was gay, it was that Judith convince him that he was so she could distract him and escape. Her Jedi mind trick worked so well that the gay thing stuck to him for life. Yet he finds love with the coach and all is well that ends well. I thought it was a brilliant joke but I can understand that not everyone will. This movie is brilliant in that it pushes previously unseen boundaries.

I'm also nitpicky about comedy but think this movie is genius. No idea why it's so underrated.

Ssving Silverman is quite underrated. Probably one of my favorite '00s comedies.

I found this movie well after it was out in theaters and out on video. I believe I caught it on HBO and it is incredibly underrated! Funny characters and Neil Diamond. Caught Neil Diamond in concert a few years back - the man still has golden pipes. I crack up at this movie everytime I see it!
