Not as good as the first...

I'm always waiting in anticipation for sequels to come out, sadly to be disappointed with what has been produced. Mimic 2 was disappointing to me by the fact that it didn't have the original main characters. Don't get me wrong, the acting was OK, but the storyline was wearing thin and the ending was a total let-down. There was one aspect of the film I did not understand, and I'm still none the wiser. Really I'm wondering why it was necessary to make a second instalment, we could of done without it. Am I the only one with this view, other comments are welcome?
