Perfect for New Beginnings

Maybe I am biased because I am about to start a new job and school and this movie is about starting over, but I loved it. This movie was beautiful. I can't believe it was made in 2001 and I just barely saw it but maybe I needed to see it at this time. Lilli Taylor does a great job as Julie Johnson. I especially like her acting when she is hiding something or when her character is feeling intense emotions;she conveys them well. I was extremely impressed by Courtney Love. This was the best I have seen her since Man on the Moon. She looked really pretty too and encompassed a Jersey girl. I was extremely impressed by Mischa Barton. I watch the OC and it's a bad show but I get addicted to the story line and I have a crush on Adam Brody, but I digress. Mischa Barton is my second least favorite character on OC and I was so happy when they killed her off. But, she really impressed me in this movie and even more so when I realized this movie came out five years ago, when she was about 15. She cusses like a sailor in it. I think she captures the selfish angst a teenager feels, especially amid a lifechanging event and I thought she was pretty funny. Gideon Jacobs, who played Franky Johnson, was hilarious! This movie is great, I loved the ending. I love the acting by Spalding Gray. Noah Emmerich was delightfully hateful. This movie is enjoyable, thought provoking, inspirational, real and it's almost lyrical, that's the best word I can use to describe it.
