it was good all the way until the end.
i really would have liked her see her and claire work it out.
but i guess it shows how timid courtney love's character is, and how unsure she was of herself through out the whole film.

I agree. ONE small added clip in the end would have changed the WHOLE movie's direction & meaning. One small clip showing that Julie was with some new girl. Or that she is now out & openly dating. OR that her kids have accepted her back as their MOM (even if not as a lesbian).
But the movie was good & Clair's character had too many loose ends. I didn't mind they weren't together in the end. Any how Julie was making her crazy with all her intellectual talks. There was a point when I thought Julie is going to go insane and I was about to turn the movie off. I did not want to watch another lesbian movie, showing Gayism=Lunacy!
Nevertheless, I found peace in realising that how Julie had decided how her life would be in New York with her family, now only excluding Clair. Hence, I suppose that her life would start to get better with her college in NY.
