Why is Cece always getting votes?

I don't get it. She's like the punching bag for votes. And it would make more sense, if her edit suggested why.

reply

I'm with you on that one other than the fact that she had trouble on challenges. She couldn't get across the balance beam (last week) with the bag (she fell in the middle and someone else had to do a second trip with the bag) and I think she had some trouble swimming (the first challenge) That's the only logic I can come up with.

reply

Yeah, but none of these votes have been challenge based so far.

reply

Second one was challenge-based. It was brought up a few times.

I think the first tribal council was because of her association with Rachel.

I'm not sure why she got votes now. Probably she's just the easy scapegoat of David and Ken, but it's not like David's that much more useful in challenges. I'm pretty sure they've lost every puzzle-based challenge when he was one of the people doing them.

How do you know what the votes are based on?

reply

I'll just come out and say it--you could chalk it up to the fact that minorities are usually targeted first. There wasn't much logic to her getting votes in the first loss. It didn't slow them down that much. I kind of agree with the time she slowed them down with the bean bags, but wonder if it was anyone else would they have been so quick to vote her out. This last time doesn't really count since they were really going to vote for Jessica.

reply

It does count, because she still got a random wtf vote. Jess could have at least voted for someone in the drama.

reply

I don't really watch survivor anymore. I just check the cast bios, the premiere and the finale and jury vote.

But I look at wikipedia page every week though which summarizes the show pretty good.

I don't know why they keep voting for her either.

I hate to say is it because she's black, but let's not kid ourselves. Like on the very rare cases of tribes with majority black races don't knock off the whites.

reply

They told Jessica the vote was for CeCe. Jessica was not going to change her vote, despite the tribal drama.

reply

Sounds like you missed a good show. Jess was told by Lucy and the others that CC was the target. That is why she cast her vote for CC. Perhaps you were brushing cookie crumbs off of you when that happened.

I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.

reply

exactly. Seems pretty obvious to me. Cece is on the bottom. First vote they wanted to flush the idol and thought David had it. When David told Jessica he absolutely didn't have it, they chose to still split the votes among Cece and Rachel in case Rachel had it.

Last vote, Lucy and the gang were voting Jessica and Lucy told Jessica to vote Cece. Jessica thought that's where the vote was headed. The vote wasn't random.

reply

Because she sucks at challenges.

reply

That's not why she's getting votes

reply

I bet you it's not helping.

reply

She's a throw-away vote. She's not in the big alliance. There's no way the others would ever vote Ken out right now, because he does very well in challenges and provides at camp. So I would assume throw-away votes would go to either CC or David right now.

For tonight's show, it seemed like Jessica realized at the very end, before voting, that she screwed up. If she voted Lucy, the others (excluding David, Ken and CC) would get mad at her... even though they wouldn't have a right to... So it looked like she decided to give a vote to someone she knew wasn't going home, and wouldn't get mad at her. This is all just based on my observations though.

Maybe they're always discussing voting her out but it's never shown.

reply

Two of the women who were in Paul's former alliance were talking. I think it was Jessica and Sunday or Sandy? The blonde one and one of them said something like. "so were voting CeCe?" and the other woman said yes. I was multitasking so I'm not sure who they were exactly.

But I think Jess, Lucy, and the other woman have voted for CeCe until they voted for Paul. Maybe they just don't like her. None of the guys ever voted for CeCe as far as I remember.

reply

They voted for her in the last tribal council.

Jessica got the most votes, Lucy got two, and CeCe got one. I don't think a guy voted for CeCe.
