I got the DVD as well! Wow, I was about 10 years old when this was on TV, very ahead of its time with scifi themes, a racially diverse crew, and villains who were not always two-dimensional evil. Some of my favourite episodes:
The Return of Anubis: An alien being with as much or more power than the Sentinels, who is driven to evil actions not by evil, but by guilt and rage and pain.
The Prime Sentinel: The first time we see the Sentinels' starship in outer space, meet the King Sentinel, and a bizarre energy lifeform. Did their starship have a name? We also meet another Sentinel team.
Voyage to the Inner World: A Queen is driven to brain vampirism to save her city, and when she dies, she STAYS dead. Astria pronounces her dead. No a robot, not sleeping.
Rose Tyler: Five million Cybermen, easy. One Doctor? NOW you're scared!
This is a cool dvd set with a nice selection of extras, but my only complaint is they squeezed everything on two double-sided discs.
shareMy brother gave this to me for Christmas. Overall the Space Sentiels holds up very well. Glad to have this.
shareJust got the dvd and it's superb, I'm having a complete gas working my way thru each episode, it's taking me right back to my youth! I'd forgotten how fantastic the score is - very Vangelis! Excellent stuff.
