Space Sentinels + Shazam!: Is It Just Me, Or......

is it just me or did anyone notice that for the Morpheus story, the writers probably drew some inspiration from the comic book, SHAZAM!? i mean, Morpheus was first chosen by Sentinel-1, teleported to his world, and trained as Hercules, Astrea, and Mercury would later be (with all their powers combined). in the Shazam! comics the wizard, Shazam, first gave his powers to an egyptian named Teth-Adam; the same powers he later bequeathed to Billy & Mary Baston (Captain Marvel & Mary Marvel), as well as to Freddy Freeman (Captain Marvel, Jr.). Teth later chose to use his powers for evil gain, as did Morpheus, and became known as Black Adam. anyone noticed that recently?

markus010167,

no it's not just you. It is similar. Remember that Filmation had just done the live-action SHAZAM, and would later do the animated SHAZAM.

Also that kind of supervillian has been done many times since.

Not to mention Sinestro, the rogue Green Lantern.
