It has been so long since I saw this show(the last episode I saw was the finale when it originally aired), but I just can't remeber if they were a couple or just friends. I think they were just friends but a little something more was hinted. I am right?
shareYou're right: they were just friends for the most part, with possible hints towards something (that fans completely ran away with :P). If they'd made another season, we probably would've gotten something heading towards a romantic relationship for them.
shareYeah, there were huge hints towards Jamie/Caitie(not as much as Val and Tyler, though).
Cinderella Syndrome: When Val and Caitie have a conversation about her(Val) going to the prom with Tyler, Val asks:
"So What about you and Jamie?"
Caitie denies that there is no 'her and Jamie' but Val looks away in disbelief.
Race of a Lifetime: Caitie was really jealous when Jamie's ex Bobby was around. Jamie even noticed how jealous she was and called her out on it.
"I just think you're jealous."
"Of what?"
"Of me having another female friend."
Oucha magoutch! We know you have this subtle subtext together but you didn't have to mention it outloud, Jamie!
Friends Don't Let Friends...: My favorite episode! This is one of those episodes you'd have to watch to see the hints between Jamie and Caitie. They were smiling at each other a lot and they even hugged. Good J/C episode.
Hero: Caitie plays the jealous role once again when Jamie becomes popular. At one point, when he was surrounded by a crowd of loving fangirls, she threatened to tell his "deep dark secret".
Be True to Your School: This episode contains a small, subtle hint. When Jamie and Caitie are walking down the hall together she has a smudge of coffee above her lips. Jamie wipes it off with his thumb and in order to get it off his thumb, he licked it(secondhand kiss). That small little interaction almost goes by unnoticed.
The Boy's No Good: This time, Jamie is the jealous one. Caitie gets a boyfriend and immediately Jamie doesn't like him. And when he gets dcaught cheating on Caitie and she lets it slide, Jamie was about to beat the guy up before Hank and Tyler held him back.
Anyway, those are all the hints I can think of at the moment.
