yea, i could see damian lewis bein a good freeman, but i don't know about gary oldman as G-Man. i mean, g-man has this very precise character already made for him, and i don't think oldman is the man to play it. i don't think he would have the right tone in his voice, nor would he even look right for the role. that being said, i have no idea who could play g-man. except for maybe the guy who did the voice in the game. but he probably doesn't look too much like g-man. i don't know. any other suggestions???

could use some one who likes the g-man but use the guy who did the voice for g-man to do a voice over but not make it so noticable.

Gary Oldman's name can be abbreviated as G-Man so I guess he'd work for the role...

Dude, this poster was so bad I started laughing.

Plus, I could never see Damian Lewis as Freeman (the red hair just throws me off.) I'd say Edward Norton as Freeman, but he's squeaky voice just throw me off.

So I propose that, if a Half Life movie were to ever be made, that a bunch of unknowns that look like the people that they portray play the parts.

Gotta have at least one big name actor otherwise no one will see it (even Star Wars had Alec Guinness)

Edward Norton would make an okay Gordon Freeman and since Gordon doesn't talk his voice won't be a problem (unless they want to give Gordon Freeman some lines)...

Could always have Hugo Weaving play the G-Man since G-Man is sort of an "agent"...

I think being that it's a movie and that it'd be in the third person, I think that they'd give Freeman a few lines. Just not a lot.

And I have to give a big fat no to Hugo Weaving. Just...no.

And also a interesting note: Band of Brothers had mainly unknowns, and look how well that did. Also, everyone in that was hired because they resembled the people that they were going to portray.

I think some die-hard fans would be peeved if they gave Freeman lines (and some would probably be angry just that they'd decided to make a Half-Life movie)...

Well, I don't anyone better at delivering government agent performances than Hugo Weaving, but I imagine they could find someone, long as he's really creepy...

I'm okay with unknowns for most parts but I think if they want fans and non-fans to pack in the seats they will need a known name in at least a few supporting roles.

As for director, not sure, I think Guillermo Del Toro could probably do the job, as long as the director stays true to most aspects of the game...
