Happy Ending (SPOILER)

At least I liked.

Dev was a horrible, horrible man.
He didn't care to write more than 1 letter every 2 years, abandoned Paro and her mother on their worst time, gave Paro a scar, mistreated the only woman that was willing to help him calling her a whore over and over, abondoned her also, was very disrespectful on his father's funeral, didn't even care to warn his mother about how mean his sister-in-law was, etc.

And yet he manages to have the love of 2 of the sweetest woman, the loyalty of dharamdas.

I was rooting for the door in the last scene.

That was the one thing in the film that got to me. I loved the movie but just kept thinking this guy isn't worth it.

Well, it happens in real life too. Good guys finish last.

I do think Devdas was a coward. He should have punched his father in the face and run after Paro when he called her a prostitute. Or, if he was going to respect his father and all that, he should have just moved on with his life instead of becoming a drunkard. Sincerely, I don't understand what did they see on him. I mean, if he was a great lover I'd understand but....
