Question about a quote....

Spoilers for S5:

I think I know the answer to this, but I wanted another opinion (or two or eighty ). In S5E6 Lexie and Paul have this exchange:

Paul: Lex, I just wanted to say I'm really looking forward to working with you.
Lexie: No, Paul. I think you'll find you're working for me.

While I like Lexie stepping up and being so independent, I think that the undertone of the conversation is that Lexie is angry with Paul and blames him for Archie's decision to leave Glenbogle, even if it is (at the time) meant only to be temporary.

Thoughts?

I think you're right. She's probably also angry with herself for being the one to bring Paul back to Glenbogle after he stalked off down the road, supposedly leaving for good. I think that was in an earlier episode. If she had left well enough alone, they would never have seen Paul again.

Lexie is no doubt hoping Archie will change his mind and take over the estate again after the mountain climb. I see it as her attempt to put Paul in his place.

Thanks for your reply. That makes a lot of sense.
