Plot Hole? (spoilers)

After Fei accidentally destroys his village, he is whisked away on an adventure that he never expected (or asked for). Much later in the game Fei & his friend Citan ally themselves with a group of desert pirates, their leader named Bart. After defending the pirate base, Fei agrees to help rescue Barts' cousin Marguerite from the clutches of Shakhan. As luck would have it the is a tournament at place where Marguerite being held captive. Citan comes up with a plan (I think it was Citan), Fei participates in the tournament that distracts most of the guards, while Bart sneaks in to rescue Marguerite. While Fei waits for the tournament to begin he comes across Dan. Dan swears revenge on Fei after his sister died. Dan has every right to be angry, but how did he know where Fei was? The only people who knew about the whole rescue plan was Fei, Citan & Bart.
