a typical bruce campbell movie

I have never seen this movie and I am wondering if it is a typical Bruce Campbell movie? I love the campy stuff he normally does like man with a screaming brain, the evil dead movies, and alien apocalypse. Is this a cheesey B movie as well?

Bruce does a cameo in TIMEQUEST in which he plays an Oliver Stone like director who believes he has uncovered a plot by the Kennedys.

It's played a whole lot more straight then most of his movies and serious. Think Evil Dead 1 with more/better actors and without the horror/gore. The only reason I saw the film was because of Bruce Campbell but hes only in it for like 5 minutes. It was an interesting film but very far fetched implying that the Kennedy boys being warned would make that much of a difference.

I'm trying to figure out how that portion of the movie, with Bruce describing his current and future films ties in with the 'real' movie. Was it really necessary? I've only just seen the movie tonight, and I will watch it again with a more critical eye, but I was just throwing this out for conversation.
