Compare with King's 11/22/63

Read Stephen Kings novel, and then compare it to this movie. Not for the reasons about why the event was changed, but rather, the impact on future events.

The difference being that in this version the Kennedys were given knowledge of the future to make better decisions. Also in King's version 'time' itself was pissed at the change.

It is interesting in my mind trying to decide how things would have worked out, balancing the fact that I'm not one that deifies JFK but having to factor in knowing some future info.

What I found most interesting, but I'm not sure why, is how the world turned out when Kennedy's assassination was prevented in 11/22/63. I wonder if King had watched Timequest (assuming he hadn't yet begun his novel) and decided to give the world a different outcome.

In reading 11/22/63 I had wanted the alternate future go horribly wrong although I would have preferred on straight up reasons. I had just read a book where they killed Hitler and it led to the Nazis winning and then things getting even worse. So that probably shaped some of my thinking. Good intentions and all that.

What was the name of that book? Sounds like something I would like to read.

I think it was something I read online but now I can't seem to find it. I have a terrible memory for details. I'll try to pry it out of this head of mine. I love time travel and alternate history stories. Although I'm not too knowledgeable on Nazi history it was still a very interesting read. So I'll put some effort into trying to remember enough to search it down.
