ducks eat turkey?!?!?!?!?!

the beginning of the movie; donald, daisy, huey, duey, and louie and the goose all eat a TURKEY for christmas dinner?? i found that weird. i know its a kids movie, but my son was watching it on disney channel and i found it strange that they wouldnt have them eat a different meat than poultry. lol

But remember these are anthropomorphic ducks. They're not natural ducks so it's not quite so weird. Weird is actually seeing anthropomorpic turkey's eat turkey, or anthropomorphic ducks eat duck. Since their being given human characteristics I don't find it bizarre for cartoon animals to eat creatures that aren't the same as them, but when they eat the type of animal they are it's kinda like cannibalisim unless they naturally eat their own kind in nature (still cannibalisim but somehow more acceptable).

Besides, was the turkey wild or domesticated? The one the boys scare with the sled appears to be wild, which means if it's the dinner bird it's game and not poultry. Wild birds are game birds and domesticated birds are poultry.

Did anyone else notice that the ducks were talking? Just like humans! And in a KIDS movie!

Then in the final day, the really good one, they eat ham and the turkey joins them at the table, thus anthropomorphised itself!

Yeah, Disney always confused me as a kid, how an anthropomorphized (sp???) mouse, had a normal pet dog, but one of his best friends was an anthropomorphized dog (Goofey). And Goofey treats Pluto like a pet dog...not like one of his own kind.

The ducks and turkey eating ham together was also strange to me (did they go to Warner Bros. and slaughter Porky?)...

Also, strange on the Mickey Mouse Club House farm episode when Clarabelle Cow helps Mickey rescue a regular cow from peril.

Yeah I noticed that, a bit strange, but then again it's a ritual in our family to cook and eat one of our uncles each Christmas. We are slowly but surely running out of extended family.
