I have the VHS tape... having trouble with it

My boyfriend bought me the VHS of this a couple of months ago from the UK. I live in Texas and both of us figured it would play in a regular VCR.
But, for some reason, it doesn't!
AGH. I want to see this movie again so badly, but the tape doesn't function correctly.
When I put it in, I can hear sound but there is no picture. It's fuzzy!
I checked all the connections, the VCR isn't old or anything, and the VHS is in great condition.
I just have no idea what's wrong.
Any ideas?

Probably a PAL tape your'e tryng to play in a NTSC machine. There is VCR's that'll play both, go find one. Good luck.
