DVD?

I am really looking forward to "Ivans XTC" coming out on DVD, but can't seem to find any information on it. It was made three years ago and hasn't been given a proper release in the theaters or on video. Does anyone know when this film will be on video store shelves?

I watched it just yesterday on DVD which was rented from my local Blockbuster (UK) A nice surprise for such a gem of a film to be found amidst the more mainstream stuff.

Anyone know about the U.S. dvd? I've heard this is a great movie.

Is it even available on VHS to rent?

reply

no it's not available in the U.S. to rent. Mick lesalle of the san fransico chroncile said the reason is becaues "it hit to close to home for people in the indusrty." of course maybe the reason one can't get it in the U.S. is becaues it is an indie flim that some recived mixed reviews.

"It hit close to home for people in the industry" ? Come on, that's not a real reason for it not being on DVD here. Plenty of harsh critiques of Hollywood have been made by mainstream studios. Heck, a few have even won big time at the Oscars. From "A Star Is Born" (original version was called "What Price Hollywood?") to "Sunset Blvd." I thought Bob Altman's "The Player" was a pretty good burn on Hollywood as well. It's so easy to play the persecuted card, isn't it? That said, I want this one out on DVD.

I bought a region 2 copy and made a copy of it in region 1 so I could watch it on my player.
