Eyes Opened!!!!

First let me say this was a really AWESOME movie. Secondly I am not mormon but I am a Spirit Filled Pentecostal Christian (not to say you aren't Christians I just dont believe the way you do, however I have struggles with how I believe in my religion as well) and this movie opened my eyes to something I think is important. Now I must say I dont agree with all that the mormons believe in, but one thing is for sure they do believe in Jesus as our Heavenly Father and that he died on the cross for our sins and what does John 3:16 in the Holy Bible say. Hm! So whether you believe in Joseph Smith or martians from outer space or that the pope is God, I have to give Kudos to the mormons for getting out there and telling people about Jesus and making a good clean film for the whole family. THANK YOU for this movie it is nice to know that people in other faiths have struggles on how to believe as well. One final thought if thats OK, if we as believers in Jesus and his death on the cross would ban together and focus on Jesus rather then the differences in the religious part of our beliefs we just might get somewhere as a whole body in Christ. I guess thats in a perfect world. HEAVEN! Hope this doesnt offend anyone not trying to start a battle just wish we could all band together and see lives saved. God Bless all who read this and I will pray for each and everyone who reads this whether you respond or not. Together Everyone Achieves Miracles Spiritually!

If your responded favorably to this film, you will really like "States of Grace" by Richard Dutcher, which has a couple of characters in common with "God's Army" and also includes a Pentecostal preacher as a main character.

Oh Lord, you gave them eyes but they cannot see...

I couldn't read this without responding. It's reaffirming of one's faith--and of life in general--to hear someone so deeply and beautifully a sense of belief and optimism, and a desire to come together rather than drive each other apart. I'm Mormon, and, as you say, I'm sure we believe in different things, but it's obvious that you believe in the power of love and faith in God and Christ and their ability to unite, and, as far as I'm concerned, if someone believes in that and devotes their life to spreading that message of love and peace, they're absolutely doing the right thing.

Whoever recommended "States of Grace" was right on the money--it's heavier and more intense, but while I really, really like "God's Army," I absolutely love "States of Grace." Dutcher's a great filmmaker.

Jesus would be embarrassed by his current day lunatic followers. Shame on you and religion as a whole for ruining his message. Pathetic.

jjpete7...Do you really know what Jesus' message is...I am sure Jesus would be so proud of the comment you made about Autumn Reeser "I'd give her a ticket to my meat train. Choo Choo!" Talk about "Pathetic" that you have to make a comment like that about a woman on here because you probably cant get one that is so pretty in real life...not to mention you are an Obama supporter who is in favor of abortion...what if your mom had decided to abort you...think about that the next time you go out an get some girl pregnant, then want her to have an abortion so you can avoid the responsibility of having sex...and microchip inplants (can someone say MARK)...based on your comment from By the People: The Election of Barack Obama (2009) stating "I don't know, being the first black man elected President of the United States is kinda substantial. Sorry your guy lost. Not really." ....Wow! you picked a real winner didnt you...I feel sorry for you that you get off putting people down for what we believe in. I am all for people coming together but I will not stand by and let someone trash me for what I believe...just my thoughts on your comment..like it. I think not.

Hahaha. You searched my past posts. Wow you're a loser. You do realize in this day and age Jesus would be considered a Communist and would probably be hung in effigy at Tea Party rallies. You have more in common with Hitler than you do with Jesus.

reply

Well, looky there. Another fruitcake liberal who cant resist slamming religion because hes so intellectual and elite!

Throw commies and Tea Partier people in there and youve got the trifecta of internet trolls.

Why would such an elite and intelligent liberal come and troll on a thread thats obviously pro-religion just to antagonize and be rude while condemning people that just happen to vote differently than himself?

Oops. I guess im a racisthomephobeantisemitexenophobeantiimmigrant for questioning the rational of the moonbat flake.

Back to your OWS rally where you can handle rapes 'internally', unlike those TP rallies where...no one gets raped and they clean up after themselves when its over. The city doesnt have to pay a small fortune to clean up the feces, urine, needles, etc., when TP people rally do they?
