What is the music played during the Festival scenes?

I was wondering what the music played during the festival of Saint Geresimos is? It is being played both in the beginning and the end of the film. The tune is probably just a simple dance tune but does anyone know its name?

yeah, i loved that too... i play the fiddle so it really caught my ear.

I do not know what it is though.

I also loved the brass band music in the tango scene.

It is music for a dance called Kalamatianos. It's to a 12 beat count. There are different variations of it out there.

Τhe proper name for the dance is kefalonian Balos.Is the traditional dance of kefalonia.
