I missed the first 25 minutes of the movie but I have recorded the rest of it. I would appreciate if someone who knows the movie well, could sum up the first 25 minutes (ONLY the first 25 minutes). I would like to know the most important things and I don't mind if the summary is long, the more details the better for me.

And by the way, by 10:03 of the movie, the Martians DID get their ship onto the beach and the dance numbers were quite successful, if you can keep up with eight-legged dancers.
Why are you all being so nasty to sintya? I only saw the last half of the movie or I would tell him what happened.
Sintya, if you read all the posts that have come before this, and some of the reviews, you can sort of figure it out. That's what I did. I guess the Italians came into the town as part of the Axis forces, but the Greeks didn't really respect them so they wouldn't surrender to them. They waited until the Germans came and surrendered to them. Mantras went off with the guerilla resistance forces. The Italians, especially Corelli, were so charming they became liked by the Greek villagers.
Why??? Because they can rent or buy the movie as opposed to asking people for their time. Kinda selfish I would say.
