Why, oh Why? I loved this show, even though I only started watching it once it was in reruns. Both my boyfriend and I loved this show and would watch it whenever we could. And we are both in our mid 20's!
The suspense is terrible... I hope it lasts
Yeah I'm almost 20 and it's like my favorite show! I think some viewers thought the storylines were too similar to Pepper Ann and Recess and just didn't pay too much attention to it.But the writing on 'The Weekenders' was so much funnier and clever. I taped all the episodes but wished the show would return with new episodes. Come on ABC ! Give it another chance. Actually I don't care what station . Just come back Weekenders! We need you!

Yes, unfortunately. It's been definitely canceled after it ended late in 2001. The show was later syndicated... and all they showed was some old episodes and episodes that weren't previously shown in the U.S. So yeah, it's definitely canceled.

it hit its 60 episode mark i think. I just heard someone says that ended in 01. Thats strange cause IMdb says 04 hm... funny that i was wondering the same.
shareThe vast majority of the episodes were shown from 2000 to 2002. They still had about 10 or so that were unaired, but One Saturday Morning was canceled in 2002 and ABC just starting showing Disney Channel reruns instead, so the unaired episodes of The Weekenders weren't used. It wasn't until Weekenders came to Toon Disney in 2004 that they showed the remaining 10 episodes.
