I've found that a lot of "movies" from a series suck, even if it was a good series. They are probably just a cash grab.

I'm a fan of Sakura Taisen. The tv series have 25 episodes. Originally the Sakura Taisen (Sakura Wars) franchise started as a videogame then end up made the ovas,a movie, soundtracks, drama cds, and live performances. Play the game first, its much easier to understand the story.

nope, you have to buy it online. I got both Sakura Taisen and Sakura Taisen 3 from play-asia.com These games are hard to get now days. Beside I read the news from Animenewsnetwork.com a while ago said the Sakura Taisen Cafe going to be close nearly end of March (March 30) due to low number of customers and dwindling fans. Also there is one last game release for the franchise, a rpg dungeon like game for the DS. Luckily the game compromises all the kagekidans (Tekigekidan, Paris Kagekikan, and New York). It will release on March 17.
