Uh, ya mean "Pledge"?  Say the name of the damn movie, not a synonym! 

Speaking of which, that scene was kind of ridiculous and dumb with him promising something he could have no idea if he could follow through on or not and the mother dumbly thinking he should bet his soul on it. lol.
