Connection to another show

I had a thought last night while watching Centurions. Do you suppose it inspired the syndicated series Sky Surfer Strike Force? If you think about it the main antagonist was a cyborg with several minions and a daughter that assisted him. I admit that's pretty shaky grounds to start on but as I said was a thought that occurred to me.

Well, both series were story edited by Ted Pedersen, so there may well be a connection.
