Pierce Brosnan satires himself

The Tailor of Panama is a tongue-in-cheek, satire of Pierce Brosnan playing an inspector Clouseau-type of James Bond. Clearly he's having a lot of fun doing a Bond-lite character. Jamie Lee Curtis is still at the height of her beauty in 1994. Her legs are fabulous enough to be hired for pantyhose advertisements. But the early signs of aging are just startng to show on her face and her figure is starting to become more voluptuous. Jamie Lee Curtis once wore her hair long in her youth and I wish she would go back to it.
Pierce Brosnan's Andy character finally has the near-explicit sex scenes denied his Bond character. British actor Geoffrey Rush is excellent at light comedy action 14 years ago in 1994 before his face became oddly more craggier and pitted today in 2008. The scene where Brosnan and Rush have to do a slow dance together in a gay dance nightclub in downtown Panama is a riot! LOL!

Where do you get 1994 from it was made in 2000-2001!
Geoffrey Rush as most people know is Australian not British.

He´s better here than he was at playing Bond. Same with his role as a PM in The Ghost Writer. Hardly "Bond lite", though - how can you get "liter" than his version of 007?

I thought Brosnan was great, clearly a departure from Bond, but his character was really far more interesting! Watching him it appeared he was having a ball. The chemistry with Rush is reason enough to watch the film.
