Could people tell me whether it's better to watch the film or read the book first?? I got the book out of the library and I've read the first chapter. But I've seen the book on Netflix. I know that sometimes doing one thing first can spoil the other ,so please give me your opinions on which one should come first.

shareHaven't yet watched the movie (just started it, actually) but from what I've heard it's not that great. The book, however, is tough but very good. I would recommend the book first as mot knowing what happens may foster more emotional investment? Not sure but that's what I did and I certainly liked the book.
You can't really compare the book and film because they're different. The book can go into details the the film can not.
The film condenses story lines to fit into an hour and a half.
