Confused by the ending!

I'm confused by the end of this film, is she supposed to be dead in place of her boyfriend? Has she really been tricked instead?
Did a year really pass between the first encouter with the mirror and the party or was it all imaginary, like the people at the party?

Confused but I did quite like this movie.
