THE WORST MOVIE I SAW IN MY WHOLE LIFE

this is the worst movie i saw, it was the only movie that was bad enough to me to leave the theatre. cast is horrible, everyone at their low, direction is the worst i saw in years (c'mon, friday the 13th and its sequels were better directed). the plot is totally embarrasing, and the one that came up with this idea should be shot in a public area (obviously this is a joke). the next 4 worst movies don't even compare to this one in terms of a bad movie. Spiderman, Ocean's eleven, Dude, wheres my car, and Good burger are masterpieces compared to this crap. i really hate julia roberts, but i usually like brad pitt's acting (he was very good in se7en and in 12 Monkeys), but in this movie they truly suck. james gandolfini is a very good actor, how he got into this is beyond my knowledge. and not even one funny joke, i got bored in the first 5 minutes. i'm usually against banning, but this movie should be burned and it should dissapear. never to be found again

There are a few really bad films that should have been better, and this is certainly one of them. An absolute waste of time.

There comes a time when ethnic cliches and caricatures become such a major distraction in a movie. To me, the recycled stereotypes of Hollywood's Mexicans was the film's fatal flaw. COME ON, HOLLYWOOD! TIME TO EVOLVE!

reply

beyond bad. painful.

You stay classy, San Diego.

reply

why do you hate it so much? ok, its not the most spectacular plotline, but if you watch it all, its a pretty good film. plus, not only does it have 2 huge stars in brad and julia, but james gandolfini AND gene hackman. i dont know how you can say the cast is horrible. if you give it a chance, you might see that its not a bad movie.

reply

I liked this movie a lot, actually. The cast was great and it had some really funny moments. It did have some weak moments, though. My favorite part was when Brad was in the El Camino singing "El Camino excelante, El Camino excelante" over and over. It was fun.

reply

yeah, that el camino bit was funny and when he offends that camel or horse or whatever it was and it starts to walk off. It was a pretty good film though.

reply

I agree! Its just a nice, lovely, fun film! I love it!!

I watched this movie based on it winning some awards and was disappointed.

The plot is a big deal. If that is lacking, why bother?

It wasn't my worst movie ever, but I just did not care about the characters at all.

reply

How can you go on to such lengths ripping apart a movie you didn't even fully watch? Seems to me from your rant that you didn't even give it a chance. I admit this is not the greatest movie in the world but I thought the casting was excellent. It was nice to see Gandolfini and Pitt in roles they don't usually portray. Can you honestly say that movies like Head Over Heels (2001) and Sweet November (2001) were better than this? I think not.

i haven't seen those movies so i can't judge them. of the movies I saw, this was the worst

which guy with glasses? bob balaban?

reply

actually, you are wrong. it was good.

the cast is horribe? Riiiiiight. Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, James Gandolfini, and an awesome cameo by Gene Hackman - here you've got actors that at one time or another, have been nominated or won Oscars and Golden Globes. But the cast is horrible.

Moron.

reply

what i meant when i said the cast was horrible i was refering to their performance in the movie. you can clearly see that i said in my original message that gandolfini and pitt were good actors, but they stunck in this one. gene hackman appeared only a few minutes and he does nothing, i can't judge HIS performance.
julia robert's getting an oscar confirms my theory that the people who vote in the oscars are jerks.
in this movie the dog was the best actor.

I have to agree about the dog. He was great. I actually liked all the main actors and all their performances, but the movie itself tried for a lot more than it attained. Who was that moron that thought Brad Pitt rode a camel?

again, i haven't seen gigli or american idol.

tell me one reason for me to believe that ocean's eleven was a good movie. first of all, it was aremake, nothing too original here. second, cast did some excelent movies, but in this one, they fail. third, the ending was completely predictable. i better watch the original with frank sinatra. my mistake was even going to see this movie.
you liked dude, where's my car? and you say that I have a bad taste? c'mon, you must be joking.

firstly i didnt say i really liked dude wheres my car, i said it was okay, which means that i didnt hate it. the point im tryin 2 make is that there r alot of moviez which r crappier than the mexican. it wasnt all that bad. and on the subject of ocean's eleven, i'd like 2 say that teh actin in the movie was fantastic, clooney and pitt were really good, and so what if it was a re-make, it was still good, and i dont really believe u if u say u knew right from the start that clooney's gang will actually come in as the swat team. well this is just my opinion on this topic

ok, sorry about critizising your tastes

"the point im tryin 2 make is that there r alot of moviez which r crappier than the mexican"

let me try to put these clear. i know there are a lot worse movies than the mexican, but i haven't seen them all. from every movie i saw, the mexican cames up as the worst.

"and so what if it was a re-make, it was still good"

obviously, remakes can be good, but, let's face it, they are not original, so, there's nothing new to discover

"and i dont really believe u if u say u knew right from the start that clooney's gang will actually come in as the swat team"

i didn't knew it from the beggining, but near the end, after they entered the safe, i knew the video that garcĂa was watching was a fake. that's really all i wanted to say.

I have to completely disagree with you. I thought this was a really fun movie. Notice that I'm not saying it was a cinematic masterpiece, but I had a great time.

As a matter of fact I saw this movie reluctantly. I don't remember exactly why I went to see it. I think it's because there was nothing else to watch and one of my friends liked it. However, I was still reluctant 'cause it was a girl, and well, I thought it was a chick flick.

I was pleasantly surprised all the way through.

It's unfortunate that you didn't enjoy this movie. Nothing I can say will make you like it, since film is a subjective medium and everyone has different tastes. However, if you want an example of a truly horrid...I don't even want to call it a film, or even a movie for that matter...anyways, if you want to see a truly, terrifyingly bad movie watch Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. I know I said that film is a subjective medium, but I could not possibly fathom how ANYBODY could even remotely enjoy this movie. There was not one single redeeming factor in this movie. It was terrible. The only reason I didn't walk out was because I was with a group of people. At the end of the movie when we all left the theater I turned around and looked at the peoples' faces. Everyone has a grim, somber expression on their faces. It was as if the life had been sucked out of them. They looked like the walking dead. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

The Mexican is not. Granted, you didn't enjoy it, ok. But if you want to see something that will make you realize the depths of total foulness movies can achieve, watch Ballistic.

reply

i agree with "The_Crimson_King ", ballistic: sever vs ecks was really horrible, the only thing the directer could do was film and explosion. i actually wallked out of the movie, i was with a couple of friends and we just decided 2 c another movie. i also agree about the fact that the mexican was a good film, not great but good.

I would like to AGREE with you!! This movie was definitely one of the worst movies I have seen in my life (hence, my comments about it were similar to yours). I did not walk out on it, however, I did fall asleep.
