Where Is This Movie?

I saw this movie when it was on TV around 2000. I don't mean to be contrarian but I found it to be very suspenseful. As for the subject of the lead being in so may scenes, he wrote it so I guess he felt that was his perogative (SIC). I would like to see it again but have not seen it reappear and have not found it in Netflix. It is a mystery when the lead has not stayed active because I thought it was better than a lot of the movies I have seen. Hope to see it someday.
