What Do You Think of Malcolm?

I was looking on Reddit about Sid and Nancy. Someone posted up a big comment about Malcolm and the Pistols. I thought the first comment by The3rdWorld was interesting. Was Malcolm really this sleazy? I'm starting John Lydon's recent book, so I'm just getting into what all went down. For the past few months, I've been reading, watching, and listening to anything related to the Sex Pistols and PiL. This almost sounds like a personal smear, like the comment was made by someone who was turned down by the band, but what all do you think of this?
