I have always loved this doco, but I having recently watched it again, I have to say I have a major problem with the constant cutting away to non Pistols related movie and television clips, and the random voice overs. It's distracting and makes the whole thing seem thrown together carelessly.
Does anybody else agree?
Yes. In fact, as I was sitting here thinking about how I'd score the flick, I was gonna give it an 8, for all the good music they did give us, then I was thinking about how much better it could have been if they'd actually cared to show us the Sex Pistols and not all that arty crap. They sure did put across the idea of Malcolm, eh? (So I dropped down a point.)

shareI agree... I did enjoy watching it and reliving some of the memories (I was kid in the mid western US so only experienced the Pistols thru their album and news stories), but it was a bit overly 'produced' or artsy for me... i would have preferred a more straight documentary style.
Nonetheless, great stuff.
