I LOVED This; Have Other Scandinavian Comedy Suggestions?

I have seen as many of Anders Thomas Jensen's films as are available to me in the Boston area. I am such a big fan of his sense of humor and his outlook on life. I would love you to direct me to other scandinavian comedies, but first, please look at the scandinavian comedies that I have seen and liked so far:
Mifune's Last Song
Adam's Apples (maybe this is not really a comedy; but I did laugh a lot in it)
The Green Butchers
In China They Eat Dogs
Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself(not really a scandinavian film, but jensen wrote the screenplay)
The New Tenants
Elling
Kitchen Stories
Italian for Beginners

I know that jensen has written dramas and I have also seen and liked a lot of them, but I just want to focus on comedies, written by jensen or anyone else, in this thread. Thanks much for your help.

Try Old Men in New Cars, which is actually kind of a prequal to In China They Eat Dogs

reply

not kind of - a direct prequal. Though not as good as the original.
Fun fact, there is a Dutch remake of OMINC, even though there is not and probably never will be of ICTED... the remake is called Vet Hard!

regarding other danish movies, I suggest the following:

Nattevagten - thriller which was later remade in Hollywood
Fukssvansen - very black and *beep* comedy
Bænken - a drama about an alcoholic, living his life off a bench
Festen - the only danish movie on top 250 in here, and it won the jury price in Cannes
Oldboys - this movie is very underacted, and it really nails the typical danish dad/uncle/granddad with the worst sense of humor ever, that you nomatter how much you hate it, still love!
Nordkraft - a movie about drug addicts, you could in some way compare it to Trainspotting

Tillsammans, Kopps, Brúðguminn.

Love to see other recommendations as well

edit.

Come to remember, I heard Jalla Jalla was well recieved but I haven't seen it yet

Also try another Swedish film called "Farsan". Very funny actually. Also "Alle For En" (All For One), and Orla Frøsnapper (Orla the Frogsnapper/Frogeater), although I don't know if it comes with English subs.

Pusher trilogy

We like to get *beep*ed up and do *beep*ed up s**t.

Another Swedish film *beep* Up" (seriously) is very good. Similar to this but less comedy. Funny that they will post a movie with that name but you get beeped writing about it so I had to spell it wrong lol!!

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

Pushing for you to watch Roy Andersson's movies. They are very, very, very black comedy, showing a very exaggerated but accurate picture of Sweden. He is truly something special. Check out "You, the Living".

I'm 5 years late here - but if you enjoyed "Blinkende lygter" (flickering lights), you will absolutely also like "De skrigende halse" (screaming throats). It was a TV-movie that was hard to come by for many years - but its available now on DVD. It's hilarious and stars some of the same people.
