WHAT exactly is better than sex?

Before seeing this movie, from only knowing the title and reading a few descriptions, I assumed that that the film would say that there is something that is better than sex. So what does the film say is better than sex? At the end, Susie and David's characters' relationship is still based on sex. Does anyone have any ideas?

Yes, I think you missed the whole point of the movie and the point is that Love is better than casual sex or shall I dare say making love is better than casual sex.

To reanimate this thread: I thought it was quite obvious to find out what's better? Well, imho it is LOVE.
Or, to quote from another movie: "Sex was everywhere. The trouble was to find love inbetween all that sex".

wouldn't exactly say a lot. some maybe. but a lot is pushing it. real love isn't gauged from a test drive. real love comes from intmacy, just as bladerunner said. sex isn't the penultimate indicator as to whether you can move on with a person past simple sex. getting to know that person, on a spiritual level, making the connection past the groin-y bits, loving someone before the just desserts (which is so much better than your ordinary laying). i can't find myself equating relationships as "trying on shoes". Not to say they are good or bad in bed. its just not right to me.

Well that "love is better than sex" thing is extremely wise, but I saw the movie, and when they were talking about sucking the penis, one of the guys said "it is better than sex".

And anyway love without sex is a cheap joke.

P.D. (I said "penis" to avoid deletion)

you missed the point, they started like everybody having just casual sex just to find out they are really in love, so sex is the best thing :)

At the very end, their relationship isn't based on sex anymore : it's more "serious" !
