I think it's more that someone who has spent so long just doing binding arbitration is not likely to be the most effective Supreme Court justice. More to the point: there are circuit judges working their rearends off on high-profile cases (many of which involve constitutionality questions). It just makes more sense to nominate them over a person doing binding arbitration (be it Judge Joe, Judge Judy, Judge Alex, etc.). That is not to downplay binding arbitration - it is certainly a legitimate career, just not something to use as an entrance to a Supreme Court nomination.

Also, and this is more opinion, Judge Joe would need to work on his courtroom personality before I would ever consider him a good candidate for a Supreme Court slot. Judge Joe is often finding ways to engage in arguments with various parties (usually young urban 'punks') and that would just not do. I feel that Judge Joe gets sidetracked way too much. You don't like how low someone wears their pants? 1. Welcome to America, 2. It's wholly irrelevant to the dispute.

So yeah. lol
