Respect is a Two Way Street

Today Judge Joe fined a guy $100 twice for being disrespecful. The defendant was being sued by his sister for not paying his bills while he was living in her home. Joe started off by belittling the guy and then asked if he were an idiot. The guy responded with something like "What about you?" Joe fined him again before the case was over but it was Joe who started it in the first place. Judge Joe needs to understand that he needs to give respect if he expects to get it in return.

Well, you shouldn't talk to a judge like that, no matter what. If he had said it to Judge Brown in a tactful way, then it would be wrong for Brown to fine him. But I remember from what I saw from clips that it seemed pretty rude so he got what he deserved.

Wrong.
The litigants need to understand that respect must be earned. Act like a slack-jaw, and you'll get treated like a slack-jaw. And the first thing a person deserving of respect learns is that you don't mouth off like a jackass in front of a judge.
This isn't a little playground case of "Joe started it." This is a kid spitting on the teacher. He needed a bigger lesson than that.

Well Judge JB makes the law up as he goes and rules off of emotion, social morality and personal opinion, so what do you expect?

Watch Judge Judy if you want FAIR, by the BOOKS rulings, she is tough but totally fair!

Just because we lose today's battle doesn't mean we've lost tommorow's war.

I saw an episode where a woman was suing her ex for not paying her back some debt that he had after breaking up.

Granted the guy seemed like a loser, Judge Joe Brown was so biased that I didn't even see the point of having a court case. He wouldn't even let the guy talk, and discredited anything the guy did say without second thought.
