Adults complaining about kids show

Grow the *beep* up!!! Why act so childish if you're such a big person to watch Dora? Kids shows are meant for kids, not for you. No one is forcing you to watch it, switch the channel or do something else while the kid watches the show!

Do you have kids? What do you do when your 2-3 old year kid wants to watch Dora on TV and that's the only way he or she can stay calm for a moment, you put Dora and watch the show. Since it's the morning and it's breakfast time, you watch the show as well.

But I remember when I was a kid, even childhood programs had a little something that could appeal to adults. Dora is just unbearable, I don't mind educational and interactive programs, but there's a limit to how long a gimmick can be maintained even if it's part of the show.

They're all smiling, even the 'bad guys' are cute, all the stories are an excuse for a 'positive' message, of course, it's a show made of good intentions, but there's no real satisfaction at the end. It might be a kid's program but I'm showing some Disney "Silly Symphonies" to my daughter and at least, these 'kid's programs' involve a wider range of emotions, excitement, joy and even fear and thrills.

Darth Vader is scary and I  The Godfather

I do have a 2 years old. And i watch DTE and other kids shows with him. And i don't find that unbearable. Yeah i know it's slow and boring but it's just for 20 minutes! I can stand a 20 minutes suffering for my child. And since my kid's verbal skill is not fully developed he enjoys cartoons and shows which sings a lot instead of talking. I enjoy watching Dora and Diego and Wonderpets even Chaplin and co, i even sing the theme songs for him. I don't understand some people who thinks that every little things must serve their taste and standarts. Life is not all about you! Kids show doesn't really have to be enjoyable for the adults too, especially toddler's and adult's brain never can meet in a same spot

Any children's shows?
You need to get out more or realise that you have grown up.
or maybe its inner child but they won't put adult stuff in a kids show.

One children's show was banned called The 3 Friends and Jerry because they thought it was too inappropriate for children to watch, it was originally made in Sweden (but came on television in Britain first, but why did they have dollars in the animation, American voice overs confusing I know, in my opinion cancelled it for mistakes too.) and the Swedish version I read somewhere had swearing. So do you think you will find adult stuff in a children's show nope.

Anyway I grew up in Britain, maybe American's want their kids shows to be a bit different.
