Ginger vs. Doug

Does anybody agree that Ginger is a girl's version of Doug? They both deal with Junior high issue's and they both talk about their experiences through a journal. I just thought about that recently and it really seems like a girl's version of Doug.

kind of... ATBG is a lot more mature and realistic though. I like that both Ginger and Doug were sensitive souls sort of. :] Arnold was kind of like that too. I think that's one of the main differences between old Nick shows and new shows in general

Kind of off-topic, but I always loved how Arnold was the kind of person who always seemed to know the right thing to do, and rarely (if ever) did the wrong thing, whereas Doug would totally do the wrong thing, knowing it's wrong, and then correct himself or make up for it in the end. I think Doug was more realistic in that essence, but Arnold was more admirable.

But anyhoo, I do think that Doug and Ginger are pretty similar. Although I do agree with SnaplApple that Ginger seems more realistic, or at least more relatable. The show has way, way more emphasis on relationships with people, whereas really Doug doesn't.

I will say that Doug and Hey Arnold were a lot more funnier than As Told By Ginger, but I agree that Ginger really takes it there and goes more into depth. Hey Arnold is like that too. I actually find that series a lot more relatable out of the three because in some ways I was like Helga who was infatuated with a boy who seemed kinda like Arnold.

"Arnold, my love, why must I worship you...and NEVER EVER tell?" 

Hey Arnold! was kind of a mix between both shows.
